A Splash of Light
29Jan10
A short walk in a bitterly cold but clear evening saw the setting sun paint a light burst on these trees beside Loch Leven. The deep gold colour was gloriously (if misleadingly) warm on a day in which there had been light snow and roads remained blocked with snow further north.
This is a GX200 shot, developed from Raw in Aperture, then with a selective boost to the areas lit by the sun, combined with reducing the luminance of the shadow areas slightly with the intent of drawing the eye in.
