Through the train window
It is very frustrating to travel into Glasgow daily past splendid countryside and often with marvellous light and not be in a position to take pictures easily. Too often they are spoiled by blur from the train’s vibrations or the internal reflections from the windows. This was a rare example where things worked out – a view of the fertile farmland of Strathearn with the Highlands beyond.
This works in black and white as well, but in this instance I think the colour version is better. Full Recovery and a good heave on the Highlights slider brought the clouds back. The Shadows were slightly opened up. Definition provided more mid tone contrast, which was completed with a very shallow s-curve. The natural light did most of the work here though.

great shot, especially from a moving train!
