I took a number of pictures of the same tree at Balvaird Castle, and this got me thinking about how easy it is to show a subject in a completely different way, with completely different mood and feel depending on exactly how the light falls. For example, there is a basic decision about whether to depict the subject in black and white or colour, whether it is silhouetted:

Or perhaps something completely different:
These are all GX200 pictures developed in a variety of different ways – sometimes from jpeg and sometimes from Raw. Tools used were Aperture 3, Raw Photo Processor and SilverEfex Pro.
