Morning Sky
27Jan10
So many times I see a wonderful sunrise on the way to work. This was a rare occasion when I could stop to grab a shot. Like all low light shots with a small sensor camera this is a bit of a compromise with digital noise in the shadows. The hill in the background is Bishop Hill.
This had the black point moved right to deepen the shadows and help deal with the noise. The saturation in the sky has also been increased slightly to emphasise the colours. Finally, the image was cropped to remove a lot of dark space in the foreground to emphasise the clouds in the sky.
