Taking Pictures in the Cold
29Dec09
It was even colder today (-14℃ on the way into Perth this morning). Perth itself looked as though it was Moscow, with snow turned brown sugar by salt and grit in weather too cold for it to clear the snow. In other words, it was a bad day to be without gloves when taking photographs.
Perth High Street has some pretty good street art. Here we found a lady who looked as though she had been waiting for the Sales since well before Christmas!
Another Ricoh GX200 image run through my now standard RPP/Aperture workflow. This photo used the GX200’s ‘Snap’ focus feature, which pre focuses at about 2m, enough to keep most street photography in focus, with the benefit of taking the snap almost immediately – no focusing required.
