Vanishing Point

This is a shot while I was waiting for the train this morning – taken from the end of platforms 5 and 6 at Perth station the rails snake away into the distance. And no, the bridge isn’t square, but it isn’t in real life either.
I wanted to give this a fairly classic black and white look, allowing the geometry of the rails to show. Apart from a straightforward conversion to black and white in Aperture, the main development strategy was to maximise Definition to bring out the detail in the gravel. A square crop taken from the top of the frame gave a more balanced composition, which is what i was seeking here.

The bridge adds the extra dimension that makes this stand out!
