Beachcombing 2 – ‘Bat and Ball’

I find that it is worthing looking down as much as up when walking, as you never know what you will see.  With the masses of deadfall on the Brunei coast these bits of palm had been washed up just like a bat and ball.  The little holes are made by small crabs that scuttle into them as you get close.  You can also see Man Friday’s footprint – clearly he played baseball!

This was a shot converted to black in RPP with only a little juggling of the colour channels to try to get a suitable tone for the sand.
